This basic health care assistant course is designed for people who would like to start a health care assistant career but have no knowledge or experience in the Health and Social Care sector. Also, this course is suitable for people who have had a gap in work experience due to different circumstances and would like to refresh/update their knowledge before applying for health care Assistant vacancies .People and inanimate object handling .Equality, Diversity and inclusion including AIS .Safeguarding adults at risk with Child protection awareness .Mental Capacity and DOLS/LPS .Dementia Care .Basic Conflict resolution .Fire safety awareness .Infection control and prevention including updated Covid-19 information and guidelines .Basic mouth care .Basic Continence care .Health and safety including COSHH, RIDDOR and Lone working .Record keeping including GDPR .Nutrition, hydration and assisted mealtimes .Basic life support with defibrillator
