Prime Recruitment Ltd is committed to promoting Equality and Diversity. This policy makes sure that all our Client’s service users and our staff employees are treated equally at all times with supporting their protected characteristics, following the Equality Act 2010.


Protected characteristics are age, disability, sexual orientation, race, marriage, civil partnership, pregnancy, religion, belief and gender reassignment.


This Policy meets the obligations under the Equality Act 2010 and The Care Act 2014 and with following our Client’s obligations under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 regulated activities.


Responsibility


It is the responsibility of the Manager and Director to bring this policy to the attention of all staff members, and if requested that this policy is made available to the Clients using the services of Prime Recruitment Ltd.

All staff members must ensure that they read this policy and ask for further information, if they do not understand. The staff member must also ensure that they understand the procedures and report any concerns straightaway to the Manager or Director of Prime Recruitment Ltd.


Prime Recruitment Ltd aims at all times to ensure that the rights of the Client’s Service users are being met around Equality and Diversity and the staff members of the Prime Recruitment organisation.


Obligations of all staff and employees


All staff and employees of Prime Recruitment Ltd, must make sure that the Client’s service users are not discriminated against, victimised, harassed, who have a protected characteristic. This would include indirect and direct discrimination. The same equally applies to any work colleagues or other staff members of Prime Recruitment or staff working for our Clients.

Support and care must follow the Client’s service users preferences at all times and the staff member is to provide support that is practical, with following the individuals person centred care support which will meet their needs and requirements.

Staff members must be trained and understand their responsibilities in preventing discrimination for the protection for individuals with protected characteristics.

 

Prime Recruitment will further ensure that adjustments are made for staff members for them to carry out their roles, and look at support with alternative work arrangements being put in place.

Members of staff are provided with information around the raising a Grievance Policy and procedures, which they can make a complaint of discrimination by the company or other employees.

There is a system in place which will respond to allegations and acts of discrimination, for whoever raises the concern.

All allegations of discrimination are investigated and when confirmed, action will be taken and changes put in place to prevent further incidents happening again.


Monitoring by Prime Recruitment Ltd


We carry out Equality and Diversity monitoring at Prime Recruitment Ltd, to represent different groups of staff and we promote that our staff also represent the Client’s Service Users, with following the Accident and Incident reporting, Whistleblowing and Safeguarding policies.


We makes sure that all staff and this policy address the protected characteristics set out in the Equality Act 2020.


This will ensure that Prime Recruitment always promote equality and fairness when we provide and deliver our services, with making sure that staff are trained in Equality and Diversity with understanding that they are not to discriminate against any individual.


It is the responsibility of the staff member to be aware and sensitive to a Service User and recognise that their needs may change, during the care services being provided. Staff are further responsible to refresh their training around Equality and Diversity every year.


This policy is available to all staff and our Clients to promote the importance of Equality and Diversity.


If any further information is required regarding the information in this policy or there is a concern around an individual, please report to the Manager or Director of Prime Recruitment Ltd.
